Kabar gembira datang dari dua mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Untidar. Mereka adalah Ririh Rubus Setyaningrum dan Rahma Adinda. Pada 28 September 2018 lalu, bersama dengan Ari Aprianti, mahasiswa S-1 Teknik Mesin Untidar, mereka dinobatkan sebagai juara 2 lomba esai tingkat nasional melalui acara National Economics Creative Compatition (NECC) yang diadakan Universitas Islam Negeri Alaudin Makassar.

“Kami menyusun esai berjudul Coconut Fibber Wall: Solusi Meningkatkan Perekonomian Melalui Bahan Peredam Suara dari Komoditas Regional Area Magelang Berupa Serabut Kelapa guna Mendukung SDG-s 2030. Selama ini, hasil pengolahan sabut kelapa hanya digunakan untuk berbagai kebutuhan rumah tangga, seperti tali, sapu, dan keset. Sebetulnya sabut kelapa ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan peredam suara,” tutur Rahma Adinda. Mahasiswa semester VII ini juga menuturkan coconut fiber wall merupakan inovasi untuk memperbaiki perekonomian warga Magelang yang memiliki komoditas regional berupa pohon kelapa. Selain ramah lingkungan, produk tersebut mudah diproduksi dan bernilai jual tinggi.

Lomba dengan tema mengoptimalkan SDGS-s melalui penguatan kapasitas regional menuju Indonesia berkemajuan ini terdiri atas dua jenis, yaitu esai dan debat. Subtema lomba dapat memilih ekonomi, hukum, sosial, lingkungan, dan teknologi. “Sebelumnya, kami mengirimkan esai pada akhir bulan Agustus 2018. Kami dihubungi lolos seleksi pada 4 September 2018, kemudian kami terbang ke Makassar untuk technical meeting pada 26 September 2018. Lomba dilaksanakan 27-28 September 2018 di UIN Alaudin Makassar,” tutur Ririh Rubus yang dihubungi melalui pesan singkat.

“Lomba ini merupakan pengalaman berharga bagi kami. Kami bertemu dengan beberapa mahasiswa dari berbagai kampus di Indonesia. Puji syukur juga kami berhasil menjadi juara kedua. Juara pertama dan ketiga didapatkan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang. Kami mendapatkan sertifikat dan uang pembinaan 2 juta rupiah. Namun, yang paling berkesan adalah bertemu dengan teman-teman mahasiswa se-Indonesia,” tutur Ririh Rubus, mengenang pengalamannya berlaga di kompetisi nasional tersebut. WJ

Good news came from two students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education of FETT, University of Tidar. They are Ririh Rubus Setyaningrum and Rahma Adinda. With their partner, Ari Aprianti, student of Mechanical Engineering University of Tidar, they were assigned as first runner up of national essay competition in National Economics Creative Competition (NECC) which is held in Univesitas Islam Negeri Alaudin Makassar.

“we made an essay entitled Coconut Fibber Wall: solution in improving economic through silencer from Magelang Regional Commodities in the form of coconut fibres to support SDG-s 2030.

During this time, the processing of coconut fiber are only used for a variety of household needs, such as rope, brooms, and mats. “Actually, this coconut fiber can be used as a silencer,” said Rahma Adinda. The eight semester’s student also said coconut fiber wall is an innovation to improve the economy of the Magelang’s people who have regional commodities in the form of coconut trees. Besides being environmentally friendly, the product is easily produced and has high selling value.

The competition which the theme is optimizing SDGS-s through strengthening regional capacity towards Indonesia progressed was consisted of two types, namely essays and debates. As the sub-theme, the participant can choose economic, legal, social, environmental and technological. “Previously, we sent an essay at the end of August 2018. The announcement was on September 4, 2018. Then we flew to Makassar for a technical meeting on September 26, 2018. The competition was held September 27-28 2018 at UIN Alaudin Makassar,” said Ririh Rubus who contacted via short message.

“This competition is a valuable experience for us. We met with several students from various campuses in Indonesia. We managed to become first runner up. The first and third winners were obtained by Semarang State University students. We get a certificate and 2 million rupiah as coaching money. However, the most memorable was meeting friends from all over Indonesia, “said Ririh Rubus, recalling her experience in the national competition. GF
