Jumat (27/7), Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Tidar mengadakan acara Sosialisasi dan Penguatan Komitmen Program Penugasan Dosen di Sekolah (PDS). Acara tersebut dibuka oleh Dekan FKIP, Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Si. sebagai penanggung jawab program. Selain itu, perwakilan keempat sekolah mitra PDS juga datang, yaitu SMA Negeri 2 Magelang, SMA Negeri 5 Magelang, SMK Negeri 3 Magelang, dan SMP Negeri 11 Magelang.
“Perwakilan sekolah yang datang terdiri atas kepala sekolah, satu Guru Bahasa Indonesia, dan satu Guru Bahasa Inggris yang telah ditunjuk oleh kepala sekolah untuk mengikuti program ini. Khusus untuk SMP, ditambah satu Guru IPA,” tutur Rangga Asmara, M.Pd., Dosen Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Untidar sekaligus koordinator program.
Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Si menegaskan program ini bemanfaat bagi dosen maupun guru. Dosen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan paedagogik, sedangkan guru memiliki satu artikel Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Siswa juga dapat merasakan manfaat program ini dengan adanya pembelajaran aktif di kelas.
“Konsep dasar program ini adalah dosen yang ada di Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Keguruan (LPTK) mampu menghadirkan pengalaman nyata proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang baik dan relevan dengan tuntutan mutu sekolah. Oleh karena itu, dosen harus mengalami langsung menjadi guru melalui program ini,” tutur Rangga Asmara, M.Pd., saat menjelaskan konsep PDS.
Selain dihadiri perwakilan dari sekolah mitra, acara ini juga dihadiri oleh Dosen FKIP yang terlibat sebagai pengelola program. Beberapa dosen terlibat sebagai pengelola dan sebagian lain menjadi mitra guru di sekolah untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran.
Setelah sosialisasi, program ini akan dilanjutkan pada tahap berikutnya. Tahap tersebut adalah orientasi sekolah dan kelas; pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran; pelaksanaan pembelajaran; pelatihan dan pendampingan PTK, serta seminar hasil PTK.
Program PDS merupakan salah satu kebanggan FKIP. Pasalnya, program ini merupakan hibah revitalisasi LPTK yang dimenangkan FKIP. Hibah ini diinisiasi oleh Dirjen Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan (Belmawa) Kemenristek Dikti. Semoga FKIP makin jaya. (WJ)

On Friday (27/7), the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FETT) held a Socialization and Strengthening Program for Lecturer Goes to School (PDS). The event was ceremonially opened by the Dean of FETT, Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Si. as the advisor of the program. The event was attended by the PDS partner schools such as SMA Negeri 2 Magelang, SMA Negeri 5 Magelang, SMK Negeri 3 Magelang, and SMP Negeri 11 Magelang.
“The school representatives who came to the event were the principal, an Indonesian Language Teacher, an English Language Teacher, and Particularly for junior high school level, we involve two science teacher, “said Rangga Asmara, M.Pd., as the coordinator of the program.
Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Si. emphasized that this program is useful for both lecturers and teachers. As he said, lecturers can improve pedagogical abilities, while teachers will learn how to do Classroom Action Research. Not to mention, students will get the benefits from the active teaching learning process in the class.
“The basic concept of this program is that the Teacher Training Institution (LPTK) presents the authentic and good experience which is relevant to school need. Therefore, the lecturers must go and teach in the school directly “explained Rangga Asmara, M.Pd. In addition, the event was attended by FETT lecturers as the school collaborators who are actively involved in the teaching process and program organizers who manage the program.
After socialization, this program will be continued to the next stage, i.e., school and class orientation, material development, learning implementation, teaching practice, classroom action research, seminar on action research.
The PDS program is one of the presticious FETT’s program. FETT won a LPTK revitalization grant given by Director General of Learning and Studen Affairs (BELMAWA) – Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti).
