Pada hari kamis (19/7) bertempat di gedung Rektorat Universitas Tidar (UNTIDAR), sebanyak 20 orang mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) UNTIDAR berpamitan ke Rektor UNTIDAR untuk mengikuti program praktek mengajar di luar negeri. Dari kedua puluh mahasiswa tersebut, 11 orang mahasiswa mengikuti program Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) Kebangsaan, 2 orang mahasiswa mengikuti Program SEA Teacher dan 7 orang mahasiswa S2 mengikuti Program KKL. Kedua puluh mahasiswa tersebut berpamitan ke Rektor, yang dalam kesempatan ini diwakili oleh Among Wiwoho, S.E., M.M., selaku Kepala Biro Umum dan Keuangan, sedangkan mahasiswa FKIP didampingi oleh Dekan, Wakil Dekan Bidang Administrasi dan Keuangan, serta Ketua Jurusan Bahasa dan Seni FKIP UNTIDAR.

Program PPL Kebangsaan, yang diikuti 8 orang mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) dan 3 orang mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia (PBSI) ini, dilaksanakan di lima sekolah di Malyasia, yaitu di Sekolah Menengah Sains Hulu Selangor, SK Hulu Yam Baru, SK Taman Bunga Raya 1, SK Taman Bunga Raya 2, dan SK Bandar Sungai Buaya. PPL Kebangsaan ini rencananya akan dilaksanakan dari tanggal 23 Juli sampai 19 Agustus 2018.

Program SEA Teacher diikuti 2 orang mahasiswa Program Studi S1 PBI. Program SEA Teacher merupakan salah satu program dari SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministerof Education Organization)yang mengadakan pertukaran mahasiswa yang akan mengajar bahasa inggris di berbagai negara Asia Tenggara. Dalam program ini, FKIP UNTIDAR mengirim dua orang mahasiswa yang akan melakukan praktik mengajar di Iloilo Science and Technology University – Filipina dan menerima dua orang mahasiswa asing dari Chiang Rai Rajabhat University – Tahiland yang akan melakukan praktik mengajar di SMA Negeri 1 Magelang. Program ini berlangsung 13 Agustus – 11 September 2018. Dalam pamitan ini juga turut serta tujuh orang mahasiswa Program Studi S2 Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia yang akan melaksanakan Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL) di Malaysia.

Dalam berpamitan, Dekan FKIP, Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Si., yang mewakili rombongan menyampaikan bahwa diharapkan mahasiswa praktikan tidak hanya mengasah hard skill, tetapi juga harus mengasah soft skill, terutama kemampuan beradaptasi dengan kebudayaan di negara lain. “Mahasiswa praktikan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi secara internasional”, imbuh Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Si.

Dalam sambutannya, Kepala BUK, Among Wiwoho, S.E., M.M., menyampaikan selamat bertugas dan menjaga nama baik UNTIDAR dan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. “Teman-teman mahasiswa diharapkan mencermati perbedaan kultur antara di Indonesia dan di Malaysia agar tidak terjadi masalah selama bertugas di sana”, imbuh beliau. On Thursday (7/19), at the Office of Rector of Universitas Tidar (UNTIDAR), 20 students from the Faculty of Teachers Training and Education (FKIP) UNTIDAR said goodbye to the Rector of UNTIDAR to join the teaching practice program abroad. Of the twenty students, 11 students participated in the Kebangsaan Teaching Practice Program (PPL), 2 students joined the SEA Teacher Program and 7 students of Masters Degree participated in the MPA Program. The twenty students said goodbye to the Rector, who was represented by Among Wiwoho, SE, MM, as the Head of the General and Financial Bureau, while FKIP students were accompanied by the Dean, Vice Dean of Administration and Finance, and the Head of the Language and Arts Department of FKIP UNTIDAR.

The Kebangsaan PPL Program, which is joined by 8 undergraduate program students of the English Language Study Program (PBI) and 3 of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program (PBSI), will be held at five schools in Malyasia, namely at the Hulu Selangor Science Middle School, SK Hulu New Yam, SK Taman Bunga Raya 1, SK Taman Bunga Raya 2, and SK Bandar Sungai Buaya. The PPL is scheduled to be held from July 23 to August 19, 2018.

The SEA Teacher Program, which is joined by 2 undergraduate program students of the PBI, is one of the programs from SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Minister of Education Organization) which holds exchanges for students who will teach English in various Southeast Asian countries. In this program, FKIP UNTIDAR sends two students who will do teaching practice at Iloilo Science and Technology University – the Philippines and received two foreign students from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University – Thailand who will practice teaching at SMA Negeri 1 Magelang. The program will take place on August 13 – September 11, 2018. In this occasion, there were also seven post graduate students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education who would conduct Field Work Lectures (KKL) in Malaysia.

In saying goodbye, the Dean of FKIP, Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Sc., who represented the group said that the students were expected to hone not only the hard skills, but also the soft skills, especially the ability to adapt to cultures in other countries. “Students are expected to improve their competence internationally”, Prof. Dr. Sukarno, M.Sc added.

In his remarks, the Head of BUK, Among Wiwoho, S.E., M.M., conveyed his congratulations on the duty and asked them to maintain the good name of UNTIDAR and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. “Students are expected to look at the differences in culture between Indonesia and Malaysia so that there will be no problems during their duty there,” he closed.
