Studying in a college opens an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience. Located at Villa Eden II Kaliurang on 4-6 May 2018, BEM FKIP UNTIDAR held an orientation for the 2nd semester FETT students. With the theme of “Students with Character, Achievement, Entrepreneurship, and Ready to Serve”, the event was followed by 320 participants.
To begin with, the orientation was opened by Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Drs. Hari Wahyono, M. Pd. In his welcoming speech, he advised that the students should absorb the knowledge given during the activity. The material presented were (a) Building teacher characters within students delivered by Drs. Hari Wahyono, M.Pd.; (b) Becoming a qualified teacher who is ready to serve for the country delivered by Arlina Candra Dewi, M.Pd.; c) Turning into outstanding students through literacy delivered by Dra. Mursia Ekawati, M.Hum. and Ririh Rubus Setyaningrum; (d) Being active students through DIKTI’s PKM, PHBD, KBMI programs delivered by Dr. Setyo Prajoko, Widya Ratna Kusumaningrum, M.Pd., and Rangga Asmara, M.Pd.; and (e) entrepreneurship delivered by Viera Danis and Wednes Aria Yudha. In addition to the academic activity, on the last night there were some performances from each study program. The event was closed by Lilia Indriani, M.Pd. as head of department on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 12.00.
The participants showed enthusiasm during the activitiy. Kevin Aditia, a participant from Science Education Study Program got his own impression. He said that by joining such activity students will know each other though they were from different study program. Last but not least, the he added that the FETT student orientation is the best. (WR)
