Berita gembira bagi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Untidar. Kini FKIP mendapat keluarga baru sebab Program Studi (Prodi) Pendidikan IPA telah disetujui oleh Direktorat Jenderal Kelembagaan IPTEK dan DIKTI menjadi salah satu Prodi di FKIP Untidar. Pencapaian ini diperoleh setelah melalui perjuangan yang hebat yang dilakukan oleh tim pengusul FKIP Untidar. Proses pengusulan sampai persetujuan Prodi baru ini berlangsung selama kurang lebih satu tahun.
Dengan disetujuinya Prodi Pendidikan IPA, total program studi yang ada di FKIP Untidar menjadi 3, diantaranya Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (S1 PBSI), Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (S1 PBI), dan Prodi Pendidikan IPA (S1 Pendidikan IPA).
Terkait dengan hal itu, Dr. Dwi Winarsih, M.Pd. menyampaikan ada beberapa alasan yang melatarbelakangi pembukaan Prodi Pendidikan IPA FKIP Untidar ini, diantaranya peminat tinggi (berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan) dan prodi yang ada di FKIP Untidar sebelumnya adalah prodi bidang sosial-humaniora, sehingga dipandang perlu untuk dilengkapi dengan bidang eksata, dan selanjutnya dengan bidang-bidang yang lain pada masa yang akan datang.
Dengan disetujuinya Prodi Pendididkan IPA ini diharapkan mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang mampu berkontribusi terhadap bangsa dan negara.

Good news for the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FETT) UNTIDAR. FETT got a new family since the Natural Science Education Study Program has been approved by the Directorate General of IPTEK (Science and Technology) and Higher Education. This was achieved after a tremendeous effort carried out by the proposing team of FETT UNTIDAR. The process of proposing to the approval lasted for approximately one year.
With the approval of the Bachelor Degree of Natural Science Education Study Program, there are 3 existing programs in FETT now, including Bachelor’s Degree of Indonesian Language and Literature Education (S1 PBSI), Bachelor’s Degree of English Education (S1 PBI), and Bachelor’s Degree of Natural Science Education (IPA Education S1).
Related to this joyful news, Dr. Dwi Winarsih, M.Pd. conveys that there are several reasons related to the opening of Natural Science Education Study Program in FETT UNTIDAR. One of them is to appreciate the high enthusiasts (based on needs analysis). This goes along with the need of the faculty, which previously offers only socio-humaniora subject. It is considered important to be equipped with natural science subject and other necessary subjects in the future.
With the approval of Natural Science Education Study Program, the faculty is expected to graduate its alumni which are capable in contributing to the nation particularly related to the natural science development.
