Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Oritentasi Tidar Muda (OTADAMA) tahun 2019 telah terlaksana. Kegiatan terserbut dimulai tanggal 19 hingga 23 Agustus 2019. Rangkaian PKKMB dimulai dengan Serah Terima Mahasiswa Baru pada hari pertama, PKKMB tingkat universitas pada hari kedua, Kuliah Umum dan Expo UKM pada hari ketiga, dan pada hari terakhir dilaksanakan PKKMB tingkat Fakultas.
Khusus untuk FKIP, PKKMB tahun ini mengambil tema besar, yaitu “Mewujudkan Mahasiswa Keguruan yang Berkarakter, Inovatif dan Kompetitif”. Meski masih berstatus “mahasiswa baru” diharapkan setelah kegiatan tersebut mereka memiliki karakter sebagai pembelajar yang siap untuk berinovasi dan berkompetisi dalam berbagai ajang dan kesempatan. PKKMB FKIP sendiri diikuti oleh 600 mahasiswa baru sebagai peserta. Hadir dalam acara tersebut seluruh pejabat struktural tingkat fakultas, jurusan, prodi, hingga perwakilan dari berbagai organisasi mahasiswa tingkat fakultas.
Ada hal yang berbeda pada PKKMB FKIP Universitas Tidar tahun ini jika dibandingkan dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Pada tahun ini mahasiswa tidak hanya dioritentasikan untuk mengenali lingkungan kampus dengan segala struktur dan fasilitasnya, tetapi juga dilaksanakan program bakti sosial kepada masyarakat di sekitar Unviersitas Tidar dan program Pemetaan Minat dan Bakat. Program-program tersebut merupakan upaya untuk menanamkan sejak awal tentang sikap, khususnya kepedulian sosial yang hari-hari ini mulai terkisis pada diri generasi muda, dan upaya untuk pengembangan potensi diri pada masing-masing mahasiwa. The introduction to college life (PKKMB) for new students at Universitas Tidar or better known as OTADAMA in 2019 had been carried out. The activities began on August 19-23, 2019. The PKKMB series began with the Handover of New Students on the first day, PKKMB at the university level was held on the second day, Public Lecture and UKM Expo were held on the third day, and on the last day the PKKMB was held at the Faculty level (FETT). .
Specifically for FKIP (Faculty of Education and Teachers Training), PKKMB this year brought a big theme, “Creating Students with Character, Innovative and Competitive”. Although they are still the status of “new students”, it is hoped that after these activities they will have a character as learners who are ready to innovate and compete in various events and opportunities. In FKIP, PKKMB itself was attended by 600 new students as participants. All structural officials at the faculty, department, study program level, to representatives of various faculty level student organizations were also attending the activity.
There is something different brought to FKIP PKKMB this year comparing to previous years. For this year, the students were not only authenticated to recognize the campus environment with all its structures and facilities, but also to carry out social service programs for the community around Univesrsitas Tidar and also the Interest and Talent Mapping program. These programs are an effort to embed the students from earlier about attitudes, especially social awareness which is starting to be analyzed in the young generation, and efforts to develop the potential of each student.
