FKIP-UNTIDAR (27/1). Usulan pendirian Program Magister S2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia akhirnya disetujui oleh  Kemenristek Dikti. Hal ini didasarkan pada Surat Dirjen Kelembagaan Iptek dan Dikti Nomor 308/UN57/KL/2016. Rintisan pendirian Program Magister S2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia sebenarnya telah digagas awal tahun 2016. Pengusulan didasarkan pada 9 kriteria meliputi visi dan misi, tata kelola, mahasiswa dan lulusan, sumber daya manusia, kurikulum pembelajaran dan suasana akademik, penelitian, pengabdian kepada masyarakat, sarana dan prasarana, serta keuangan.

Pendirian Program Magister S2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia dilatarbelakangi oleh sumber daya yang dimiliki oleh FKIP Untidar yang kompeten dan profesional. Selain itu, pendirian program magister ini merespons kebutuhan masyarakat untuk menyelenggarakan pendidikan yang mutakhir dan sejalan dengan perkembangan zaman. Dr. Yulia Esti Katrini, M.S. salah satu tim pengusul pendirian Program Magister S2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia menuturkan harapannya “Semoga segera membuka S2 ini secara operasional dan mendapatkan banyak mahasiswa karena unsur kepercayaan yang ditunjang oleh kompetensi dosen yang sesuai kualifikasi dan memiliki komitmen atas dedikasinya sebagai pendidik. Selain itu, memberikan kesempatan pada mahasiswa berprestasi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang S2 ini terutama bagi mahasiswa FKIP Untidar.” Terakhir, beliau berharap Program Magister S2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia dapat mewarnai dunia pendidikan dengan kekhasan yang dimiliki Untidar. FKIP-UNTIDAR (31/1). Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higer Education finally granted Indonesian Education Postgraduate Program (S2). It is based on decree number 308/UN57/KL/2016 released by Directorate General of Higher Education. The proposal of Indonesian Education Postgraduate Program had been initiated from the beginning of 2016. In accepting the proposal, there are nine criteria evaluated by the Directorate General, they are: vission and mission, management system, students and graduates, human resource, learning curriculum and academic environment, research, community service, facilities and infrastructure, and finance.

The establishment of new postgraduate program is motivated by the competent and professional human resources of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Besides, the establishment is a response to society’s need for the administration of recent and modern education. Dr. Yulia Esti Katrini, M.S., one of the person in charge of the study program proposal; stated that after the new study program operate officially, she hopes there will be many new students join in the new study program. “The trust from the society and the human resources competency suppport the establishment of the new study program. It also as a chance for outstanding undergraduate students to continue their study into higher level (postgraduate), especially for the students of Tidar University.” She added, the new study program can vary the academic atmosphere in Tidar University.
