YOGYAKARTA. Dosen FKIP Untidar ikuti program Simposium Internasional Pengajaran Bahsa Indonesia Bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) yang diselenggarakan pada hari Rabu-Kamis tanggal 23 s.d. 24 Agustus 2017 di hotel Inna Garuda Yogyakarta. Di dalam kegiatan yang dibuka oleh Prof. Emi Emilia, M.Ed., Ph.D. selaku Kepala Pusat Pengembangan Strategi dan Diplomasi Kebahasaan (PPSDK), disampaikan bahwa tujuan penyelenggaraan Simposium Internasional Pengajaran BIPA ini adalah untuk menyelaraskan wawasan pengajar dan pegiat BIPA di dalam dan di luar Indonesia guna menjamin mutu pengajaran BIPA, memperluas jejaring pengembangan program BIPA, serta merangkum gagasan para praktisi pengajaran BIPA sebagai bahan perumusan strategi pengajaran dan pengembangan bahan ajar yang berorientasi pada karakteristik dan kebutuhan pemelajar BIPA.

Dalam kegiatan yang mengusung tema “Membingkai Mosaik Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing” ini, PPSDK mengundang praktisi dari sejumlah lembaga penyelenggara program BIPA di sepuluh negara, seperti (1) Siriporn Maneechukate (Maejo University, Thailand), (2) Gao Shiyuan (Beijing Foreign Studies University, Cina), (3) koh Young Hun (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Korea Selatan), (4) Nguyen Thanh Tuan (University of Social Science and Humanities, Vietnam), (5) Hara Mayuko (Osaka University, Jepang), (6) Antonia Soriente (Università Degli Studi di Napoli L’Orientale, Italia), (7) Christa Saloh-Foerster (Universität Boon, Jerman), (8) Tata Survi (Balai Bahasa Victoriam Australia), (9) Tamrin Subagyo (Suez Canal University, Mesir), (10) Margaretha Sudarsih (Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Amerika Serikat), (11) Indriyono Sukmono (Yale University, Amerika Serikat), (12) Elisabeth Arti Wulandari (University of Montana, Amerika Serikat dan Universitas Sanata Dharma Yogyakarta). Kedua belas praktisi tersebut memaparkan kondisi lapangan pengajaran BIPA di masing-masing negara. Hasil simposium selanjutnya akan dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan kajian penguatan strategi penyebaran bahasa negara untuk menepatgunakan upaya peningkatan fungsi bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa internasional. [FKIP-07/09/2017] – Two lectures from Faculty of Education and Teacher’s Training (FETT) Tidar University joined in International Syposium of Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speaker (BIPA). The event held by Center of Strategy and Language Diplomacy Development  of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia (PPSDK) was taken place from Wednesday 23rd August 2017 to Thusrday 24th Augugst 2017 in Inn Garuda Yogyakarta. The Head of the Center of Strategy and Language Diplomacy Development  of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Emi Emilia, M.Ed. She delivered some main aims of this year International Syposium, such as  to align the insights of teachers and BIPA activists both in Indonesia and outside of Indonesia, to ensure the quality of teaching BIPA, expand the network of BIPA program development, and summarize the idea of ​​BIPA teaching practitioners as material for the formulation of teaching strategies and development of teaching materials which is oriented to the characteristics and needs of BIPA learners.

By carrying a theme “Framing Indonesian Teaching Mosaic for Foreign Speakers, PPSDK invited some practitioners from  a number of BIPA program organizers in ten countries, such as: (1) Siriporn Maneechukate (Maejo University, Thailand), (2) Gao Shiyuan (Beijing Foreign Studies University, Cina), (3) Koh Young Hun (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea), (4) Nguyen Thanh Tuan (University of Social Science and Humanities, Vietnam), (5) Hara Mayuko (Osaka University, Japan), (6) Antonia Soriente (Università Degli Study in Napoli L’Orientale, Italy), (7) Christa Saloh-Foerster (Universität Boon, German), (8) Tata Survi (Balai Bahasa of Victoriam Australia), (9)Tamrin Subagyo (Suez Canal University, Egypt), (10) Margaretha Sudarsih (Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, US), (11) Indriyono Sukmono (Yale University, US), (12) Elisabeth Arti Wulandari (University of Montana, US and Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta). Those twelve practitioners presented the teaching field conditions of BIPA in each country. The results of the next symposium will be utilized as a study material for strengthening the state language dissemination strategy to make efforts to improve the function of Indonesian language as an international language.
