Prestasi demi prestasi ditorehkan mahasiswa FKIP di kancah dunia untuk memperkenalkan Universitas Tidar. Itulah yang baru saja dilakukan oleh mahasiswa PBSI semester 5, Ririh Rubus Setyaningrum. Bulan Desember ini dirinya ditunjuk sebagai delegasi dalam acara International Motiva Talk with PPI Malaysia, Study Comparative & International Conference. PPI Malaysia adalah Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia se- Malaysia. Program yang berlangsung pada tanggal 9-14 Desember 2017 ini membuatnya mengunjungi beberapa universitas di Malaysia dan Thailand.

“Jadi ini adalah sebuah program dari Sriwijaya Youth Academy, Universitas Sriwijaya. Salah satu founder-nya adalah temen saya dan sudah sekitar setengah tahun yang lalu dia menawarkan ikut International Conference di Malaysia dan Thailand. Sebenarnya saya sempat lolos di acara yang sama dan diselenggarakan di Turki pada tahun sebelumnya, namun tidak saya ambil karena keterbatasan biaya. Nah untuk menebus kekecewaan itu maka saya ambil kesempatan di tahun ini,” begitulah pengakuan mahasiswa yang memang gemar berkegiatan untuk mengembangkan karirnya.

Keberhasilan yang diraihnya itu tidak secara cuma-cuma didapatkan. Sebelumnya Ririh telah menjalani tahapan seleksi dengan membuat esai. “Saya mengambil tema terkait isu pendidikan yang belum merata. Contohnya Kota Jakarta dan Suku Badui yang jarak secara geografis sangat dekat, tapi kualitas pendidikan berbeda sangat jauh. Saya mengambil tema pendidikan karena bagi saya hal ini sangat menarik sehingga konsentrasi esai saya ada pada pendidikan yang berlangsung di masa sekarang.”

Dari program ini telah membawa Ririh mengunjungi University Technologi Malaysia, Malaysia-Japan International Institut of Technology, dan Prince of Songkla University-Thailand.

Selain Universitas Tidar, ada pula beberapa delegasi mahasiswa dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia seperti Universitas Sriwijaya dan UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Sepulang dari acara ini dirinya tidak lantas tinggal diam, melainkan masih memiliki tugas yang harus dikerjakan yakni mengkomparasikan pendidikan di Malaysia dan Thailand dengan pendidikan di Indonesia. Saat International Conference pembahasan bertumpu pada Sustainable Development Goals, program pembangunan dari PBB yang di dalamnya ada 17 tujuan untuk kemaslahatan makhluk hidup dan planet bumi. One by one achievement is accomplished by students of FETT. This is also way to introduce Tidar Univesrity in the world. This is what has done by one of the fifth semesters students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI), Ririh Rubus Setyaningrum. Last December, she was chosen as delegation of International Motiva Talk with PPI Malaysia, Study Comparative & International Conference. PPI Malaysia is a group of Indonesian Student who study in Malaysia. This event which was occurred on December 9th – 14th December 2017, made her visiting some universities in Malaysia and Thailand.

“this is the program from Sriwijaya Youth Center, Universitas Sriwijaya. One of the founders is my friend who asked me to join this event since six months ago. Actually I have passed the same event in Turki last year, but I passed it since the lack of fund. To make up for my disappointment, I took this chance in this year,” said the student who were enjoy in developing her career.

The success that she achieved was not freely obtained. Previously Ririh has passed the selection process by making an essay. “I took education issue which is not evenly distributed for my essay. For example Jakarta and Badui Tribe which is close geographically, they are totally different in quality of education. I took education issues since it is interesting, therefore I concentrate in education issue in the present.”

From this event, Ririh visited Universiti Technology of Malaysia, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, and Prince of Songkla University Thailand. Beside Universitas Tidar, there were also some students from several university such as Universitas Sriwijayam and UIN Sunan Kalijaga. After finish this event, she has homework in comparing education in Malaysia and Thailand with Indonesia’s. the main issue during in International conference was Sustainable Development Goals, one of development programs from United Nation in which there are 17 goals for the benefits of living beings and planet earth.
