Universitas Tidar menjadi salah satu peserta Pelayaran Kebangsaan Bela Negara Mahasiswa Indonesia (PKBMNI) yang diselenggarakan tanggal 18 – 23 Desember 2017 lalu. Pelayaran tersebut dimulai dari Surabaya (Spotmar, Denmako, Armatim, Surabaya) sampai dengan Kolinlamil, Jakarta. Acara tersebut diikuti 648 mahasiswa dari 24 universitas dari Sabang sampai Merauke. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan mengirimkan 8 mahasiswa untuk terlibat dalam acara tersebut.

FKIP mendelegasikan 5 mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) dan 3 mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (PBSI). Lima mahassiwa PBI itu adalah adalah Yusuf Yulianto, Diah Arifiana Safitri, Bunga Umi, Busthomi Senko Aji, dan Ryandika. Tiga mahasiswa PBSI meliputi: Dinar Anggraini, Ade Safri Fitria, dan Opi Hanidian.

“Saya sangat bangga bisa mengikuti acara tersebut karena mendapatkan materi bela negara dari para guru besar serta pejabat militer. Seperti nama kegiatan, yaitu pelayaran bela negara, saya dan teman-teman tidak hanya berlayar dari Surabaya ke Jakarta, tetapi juga memahami makna Bhineka Tunggal Ika ‘Berbeda-beda, tetapi Tetap Satu Juga’ di sana,” tutur Yusuf Yulianto, Mahasiswa PBI Semester 3, setelah selesai acara.

Dinar Anggraini, Mahasiswa PBSI Semester 3 yang mengikuti PKBNMI, mengatakan “Saya tidak hanya belajar tentang kesadaran bela negara. Akan tetapi, di sana saya memiliki banya pengalaman dan bertambah teman dari berbagai suku.”

Yusuf menambahkan acara PKBNMI meliputi pelayaran dan pendalaman materi bela negara. Acara dimulai dari pembukaan, upacara bela negara, lomba-lomba, yel-yel, Senam Maumere, dan pentas seni perwakilan dari universitas.

PKBNMI merupakan program dari Kementerian Riset Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi. Program ini didukung oleh Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Baru (PTNB) di Indonesia. Salah satunya adalah Universitas Tidar yang dipercaya menjadi tuan rumah untuk mengadakan rapat koordinasi PKBNMI 15 November 2017 lalu.

PKBNMI bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran bela negara bagi mahasiswa, membentuk karakter cinta maritim, membangun kesatuan dan persatuan mahasiswa secara professional dan meningkatkan wawasan wawasan global kemaritiman. WJ

Tidar University became one of participants of Pelayaran Kebangsaan Bela Negara Mahasiswa Indonesia (PKBMNI), which was held on 18th until 23rd December 2017. It was started from Surabaya (Spotmar, Denmako, Armatim, Surabaya) to Kolinlamil, Jakarta. There were 648 students from 24 universities in Indonesia joined the PKBMNI. Meanwhile, Faculty of Education and Teacher’s Training (FETT) of Tidar University sent 8 students to join on the PKBMNI.

FETT sent delegation, 5 students from English Education Study Program and 3 students from Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program. Those 5 students from English Education Study Program were Yusuf Yulianto, Diah Arifiana Safitri, Bunga Umi, Busthomi Senko Aji, dan Ryandika. While those 3 students from Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program were Dinar Anggraini, Ade Safri Fitria, dan Opi Hanidian.

“I am really proud to be participated in this event, beside I could get knowledge about nationality form professors, there were also military functionaries who gave material about national defense. As its name, PKBMNI, beside sailing from Surabaya to Jakarta, we also learn to understand the value of Bhineka Tunggal Ika “ Unity in Diversity,” explained Yusuf Yulianto, the student of English Education Study Program, enthusiatically.

Dinar Anggraini, the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, who also joined PKBMNI, said, “Not only learned about state defense, but I also got experiences and friends from different culture and ethnic.”

Yusuf added that PKBNMI covered sailing and understanding material about state defense. The event was started with the opening ceremony, state defending ceremonies, competitions, yells, Maumere Gymnastics, and art performances from university representatives.

PKBNMI is a program from Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education and supported by new state universities in Indonesia. Tidar University is on of the new state university which got an honor to be the host for PKBMNI coordination meeting,

PKBNMI aims to increase awareness of state defending for students, character building of maritime and unity, and  global insight of maritime. (WJ-NA)
