Sabtu, 6 Mei 2017, tiga dosen dan dua mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, FKIP Universitas Tidar mempresentasikan paper penelitian mereka pada seminar internasional “1st English Language & Literature International conference (ELLIC 2017) di Universitas Muhamadiyah Semarang (Unimus). Mereka adalah Arum Nisma Wulanjani, M.Pd., Atsani Wulansari, M.Hum., Candradewi Wahyu Anggraeni, M.Pd,, Zaqy Mubarok, dan Axel Alessandro Satriawan. Selain sebagai presenter, dua mahasiswa semester 4 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Ines dan Anggitya pun ikut turut serta sebagai peserta seminar. Seminar tersebut menghadirkan keynote speaker dari koordinator TEFLIN Jawa Tengah (Dr. Issy Yuliasri, M.Pd)., RELO Former (Fabio Coelho), dan Executive Vice Chairman ERICAN Education Group, Malaysia, (Aslam Khan Bin Samash Khan). Jumlah Paper yang akan dipresentasikan dalam seminar tersebut adalah 63 paper yang berasal dari perguruan tinggi di Jawa Tengah, Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, DIY, dan DKI Jakarta.
Zaqy dan Axel mengaku merasa nervous sesaat sebelum melakukan presentasi karena ini adalah pengalaman pertama mereka melakukan presentasi di acara Seminar Internasional. Mereka mengaku sudah menyiapkan slide presentasi beberapa hari sebelum acara seminar dan menyiapkan segala sesuatu semaksimal mungkin. Persiapan ini mampu membantu mereka tampil dengan baik saat presentasi. “Alhamdulillah, saya bisa melakukan presentasi dan menjawab pertanyaan dengan lancar.” Kata Zaqy sesaat setelah acara seminar selesai. Senada dengan Zaqy, Axel juga menyatakan bahwa dia merasa lega karena presentasinya berjalan dengan lancar. Axel juga mengungkapkan bahwa papernya yang membahas tentang penerjemahan bahasa figurative dalam lirik lagu ini sempat mendapatkan beberapa pertanyaan dan masukan dari peserta seminar, namun dia mampu melewatinya dengan baik.
Di sisi lain, Arum Nisma Wulanjani, M.Pd, salah satu dosen Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang mengikuti seminar internasional ini mengaku mendapatkan banyak pengetahuan baru tentang pengajaran abad ke-21. “Saya terkesan dengan materi yang diberikan oleh para keynote speaker. Materinya bagus dan memberikan beberapa masukan untuk pengajaran.” (AW)

Saturday, May 6 2017, three lecturers and two students of English Education Study Program, FETT (Faculty of Education and Teachers Training) Tidar University presented their research papers in International Conference “1st English Language & Literature International conference (ELLIC 2017) at Muhammadiyah University of Semarang (Unimus)”. Ther were Arum Nisma Wulanjani, M.Pd., Atsani Wulansari, M.Hum., Candradewi Wahyu Anggraeni, M.Pd, Zaqy Mubarok, and Axel Alessandro Satriawan. Moreover, two students of English Education Study Program, Ines and Anggitya became participants in the conference.
The keynote speakers in the conference were TEFLIN coordinator of Central Java (Dr. Issy Yuliasri, M.Pd)., RELO Former (Fabio Coelho), and Executive Vice Chairman ERICAN Education Group, Malaysia, (Aslam Khan Bin Samash Khan). Furthermore, 63 papers of Central Java, West Java, East Java, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and DKI Jakarta Universities were presented in the conference.
Zaqy and Axel felt so nervous before presenting their papers due to it was their first experience to do their international conference. They shared that they had prepared their presentation slides several days before the presentation and they did their best. The preparation helped them to present their best in the conference. “ Alhamdulillah¸I can do it and answer the questions well.” Zaqy said. Besides, Axel added that he was relieved since he presented his paper well. He also shared that his paper that discussed about figurative translation in song lyric got many questions and suggestions, but he could handle them well.
Furthermore, Arum Nisma Wulanjani, M.Pd, one of English Education Study Program lecturers who joined the conference, got many new experiences about 21st Century of Learning.” I am so impressed with the keynote speakers’ materials.
