Dekan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) beserta koordinator program studi (koorprodi) Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) dan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (PBSI) diundang oleh Rektor Universitas Tidar dalam acara penyusunan kurikulum 2017. Acara tersebut berlangsung selama 3 hari, 11 – 13 Mei 2017, di Griya Persada, Kaliurang, Yogyakarta.
“Tujuan acara ini adalah finalisasi Kurikulum Untidar 2017. Harapannya setelah acara ini dokumen kurikulum tiap prodi akan tersusun. Profil kurikulum tersebut diharapkan mengedepankan korbisnis prodi,” kata Prof. Dr. Joko Widodo, M.Pd., Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik. Dokumen akademik tersebut selanjutnya dapat dijabarkan menjadi Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPRS) dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP).
“Sebelum acara tersebut, kami telah mengadakan rapat akademik di tingkat prodi. Pada rapat tersebut telah dihasilkan draf kurikulum prodi yang telah diperbaiki,” kata Rangga Asmara, Koorprodi PBSI Untidar. Setiap koorprodi mempresentasikan draf dokumen akademik berupa profil prodi; visi, misi, dan tujuan pendidikan; profil lulusan dan deskripsinya; standar kompetensi lulusan; indikator, bahan kajian, capaian pembelajaran, dan matakuliah; sebaran matakuliah; dan deskripsi matakuliah.
Acara dilanjutkan dengan penyesuaian kurikulum dengan format yang telah ditentukan oleh universitas. Setelah acara, seluruh prodi sudah memiliki draf kurikulum yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi RPS dan RPP.
“Pada kurikulum 2017 nanti, Prodi PBSI memiliki susunan matakuliah untuk menghasilkan 4 lulusan. Profil lulusan utama yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia. Profil lulusan pendukung yaitu peneliti pemula. Profil lulusan lainnya/pilihan pertama yaitu jurnalis/wartawan pemula dan pilihan kedua yaitu wirausahawan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, serta pembelajarannya,” tambah Rangga Asmara, M.P., saat memberikan penjelasan pada rapat kurikulum fakultas (17/5).
“Profil lulusan Prodi PBI adalah pendidikan bahasa Inggris, edupreneur, dan peneliti. oleh karena itu, 72 matakuliah prodi ini diarahkan untuk ketercapaian profil tersebut,” ujar Moch. Malik Al Firdaus, M.Pd., Koorprodi PBI.
Dengan adanya kurikulum baru diharapkan proses pembelajaran dapat berlangsung dengan tertib dan sesuai profil lulusan yang akan dihasilkan.WJ

Dean of Faculty of Education and Teachers’ Training (FETT) and Coordinators of English Education (PBI) and Indonesia Language and Literature (PBSI) Study Programs are invited by Rector of Tidar University to arrange curriculum of 2017. This event was held in three days, 11 – 13 May 2017, in Griya Persada, Kaliurang, Yogyakarta.
“This is finalization of Curriculum 2017 of Tidar University. It is hoped after this; curriculum’s document for each study program (prodi) will be arranged. The curriculum’s profile is emphasized in core-business of study program,” said Prof. Dr. Joko Widodo, M.Pd., Vice Rector of Academic. This curriculum document then will be explained into syllabus (RRPPS) and lesson plan (RPP).
“Previously, we have done meeting in Prodi, and talk about academic, which is produced revised curriculum draft of Prodi,” said Rangga Asmara, coordinator of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program of Tidar University. Each coordinator presented draft of academic document, which included study program profile; vision, mission, and learning objective; graduates profile and its description; Competence of graduates; indicators, material, learning outcomes, and courses; distribution subject; and course description. After that the curriculum has been adjust to new format. It is hoped by the end of this event, each study program has curriculum draft that can be improved to syllabus and lesson plan.
“In curriculum 2017, PBSI designed courses that can produce 4 graduates, i.e. Indonesian teacher, as main graduate’s profile, former researcher, as supporting graduates profile. PBSI also has choice of graduates profile, they are former journalist and businessman in Indonesian language and Literature, and its education, said Rangga Asmara, M.Pd., when explained in faculty meeting.
“While graduate profiles for PBI are English education, edu-preneur, and researcher. Therefore, the purpose of 72 courses in this study program is to gain those profiles,” said Moch. Malik Al Firdais, M.Pd. Coordinator of PBI.
By using new curriculum, it is hoped that learning process can be held orderly and can produce graduate profile as hoped.(GF)
