Sebagai institusi yang melahirkan calon pendidik, Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) FKIP UNTIDAR membekali mahasiswa agar dapat menghadapi kemajuan teknologi. Para mahasiswa telah dipersiapkan sejak awal untuk menjadi guru bagi generasi milenial. Salah satunya melalui mata kuliah keterampilan (skill) Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL). TELL merupakan mata kuliah skills pada semester 2. Di akhir kegiatan perkuliahan, mahasiswa telah menggelar pameran TELL di selasar FKIP UNTIDAR pada hari Rabu-Kamis tanggal 26-27 Juni 2019.

Pada kegiatan tersebut juga diluncurkan 4 buku karya mahasiswa yang berjudul Artificial Assistant for Digital Learners, The Further How Technology Changes The Way You Learn, Virtual Teachers for Digital Generation, Digital Technology for Autonomous English Learners: Enhanced Your English Skills with Technology. Buku-buku tersebut berisi deskripsi aplikasi teknologi yang membantu pembaca untuk belajar bahasa Inggris meliputi keterampilan reading, listening, writing, speaking, grammar, dan vocabulary. Selain itu banner hasil karya mahasiswa berisi aplikasi teknologi belajar bahasa Inggris juga dipamerkan. Dua belas banner terbaik akan dipilih dimana 6 terbaik pertama akan dipamerkan dalam acara International Conference on Language and Language Teaching (ICLLT) 12 Oktober 2019 dan 6 terbaik berikutnya akan dipamerkan pada acara Conference of English Language and Literature 29 Juni 2019.

“TELL merupakan mata kuliah yang memperkenalkan teknologi kepada mahasiswa untuk tertarik belajar bahasa Inggris. Pameran TELL bersamaan dengan launching buku ini mengajarkan kepada mahasiswa untuk berbagi ilmu serta sebagai upaya aktualisasi menggunakan bahasa Inggris dalam menulis”  kata salah satu dosen pengampu mata kuliah TELL, Lilia Indriani, M. Pd.

“Semua buku dan banner ditulis dan didesain oleh mahasiswa. Melalui kegiatan pameran TELL ini saya merasa senang dan bangga karena karya mahasiswa dapat terapresiasi” kata salah satu mahasiswa prodi PBI semester 2, Chanifatus Sa’adah. (RI)

As an institution that create educators, English Education Study Program of FETT UNTIDAR equips students to face technological advancements. The students have been prepared from the beginning to become teachers for the millennial generation. One of those preparations is learning skill course, such as TELL (Technology to Enhanced Language Learning) which is being taught in second semester. At the end of the course, students held a TELL exhibition in FETT’s hallway on Wednesday-Thursday June 26th-27th, 2019.

In this activity, 4 books made by students were launched, which entitled Artificial Assistant for Digital Learners, The Further How Technology Changes The Way You Learn, Virtual Teachers for Digital Generation, Digital Technology for Autonomous English Learners: Enhanced Your English Skills with Technology. The books contains descriptions of technological applications that help readers to learn English include reading, listening, writing, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary skills. In addition, a banner made by students which is containing the application of English language learning was also exhibited. Twelve best banners are choosen to be exhibited in conferences held by FETT, such as International Conference on Language and Language Teaching (ICLLT) on October 12, 2019 and Conference of English Language and Literature on June 29, 2019.

“TELL is a course that introduces technologies to students who are interested in learning English. TELL exhibition and book launching taught students to share knowledge and as an effort to actualize using English in writing “said one of the TELL lecturers, Lilia Indriani, M. Pd.

“All books and banner are written and designed by students. Through this TELL exhibition, I felt happy and proud because the work of students can be appreciated, “said one of second semester students of English Department, Chanifatus Sa’adah. GF
