Program Camp EPIC 3 merupakan salah satu program RELO bekerja sama dengan kedutaan besar Amerika Serikat untuk Indonesia, yang diselenggarakan pada 15-27 Januari 2017 di Batu, Jawa Timur. May Willyana adalah mahasiswi Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris UNTIDAR yang berhasil lolos menjadi pesertanya.
(25/03/2017) Alumni program EPIC Camp 2017, May Willyana, mahasiswi Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP UNTIDAR, bekerja sama dengan Himpunan Mahasiswa Prodi (HMP) Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, melaksanakan diseminasi di ruang I.7 Gedung FKIP. Acara tersebut berlangsung mulai 09.00 sampai 15.30 WIB. Tema yang diusung dalam diseminasi tersebut adalah Camp Epic Workshop: Where pre-service English teachers leave empowered, prepared, inspired, and connected.
Pembicara pada kegiatan diseminasi diantaranya adalah Jeanie Cook, English Language Fellow dan May Willyana, alumni Camp Epic 3. Pada kesempatan itu, sejumlah 50 mahasiswa dari semester 2, 4, dan 6 FKIP menjadi partisipan. Partisipan sangat antusias dan segera berpartisipasi pada setiap kegiatan dalam diseminasi. Aktifitas yang dilakukan diantaranya model pengajaran speaking, model pengajaran listening, scavenger hunt, dan American moment. Pada aktifitas American moment, partisipan terlibat langsung dalam joget dan dance. Partisipan sangat menikmati dan antusias.
Jeanie Cook menyampaikan rasa senang karena partisipan sangat antusias dan semangat. Sebelumnya dia mengikuti acara diseminasi, tetapi menurutnya, partisipan di FKIP UNTIDAR lebih semangat daripada partisipan pada diseminasi sebelumnya. Jeanie sangat senang akan hal itu.
May Willyana menyampaikan “Acara diseminasi ini sangat mengesankan karena bisa sharing ke adik tingkat dan mereka tertarik untuk ikut Epic Camp tahun depan, walaupun yang semester 2 harus nunggu 2 tahun lagi.” Pada kesempatan yang sama, May juga mengatakan harapannya agar ada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP UNTIDAR yang lolos pada Camp Epic 4, sehingga tahun depan ada diseminasi lagi. Selain itu, dia juga berharap setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, partisipan menjadi terinspirasi dan lebih kreatif dalam mengajar. (ER/CA)

Camp EPIC 3 was one of RELO programs that cooperate with US Embassy for Indonesia, which was held in January 15-27, 2017 in Batu, East Java. May Willyana is a student of Department of English Education UNTIDAR who became a participant.
(25/03/2017) The alumna of EPIC Camp 2017, May Willyana, the student of Department of English Education FETT UNTIDAR, collaborated with English Department Student Association, presented dissemination in I.7. room of FETT building. The dissemination was started at 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The dissemination theme was Camp Epic Workshop: Where pre-service English teachers leave empowered, prepared, inspired, and connected.
The keynote speakers in dissemination were Jeanie Cook, English Language Fellow and May Willyana, alumna Camp Epic 3. In that special occasion, 50 students of 2nd, 4th, and 6th semester joined the dissemination as participants. They were so enthusiastic in joining the activities of dissemination. The activities were speaking teaching model, listening teaching model, scavenger hunt, and American moment. In American moment activity, the participants showed their dancing talent. They were so avid and enjoyed it.
Jeanie Cook felt so happy because the participants were very zealous. She had ever joined dissemination, but she thought that the participants of FETT UNTIDAR were more vigorous than the participants of previous dissemination. Jeanie was so glad about it.
May Willyana contended “This dissemination is so impressive because I can share my experiences to my junior and they are interested in joining next year EPIC Camp, though the second semester students have to wait until next two years.” May hopes that there will be students of Department of English Education FETT UNTIDAR who join Camp Epic 4, so there will be the dissemination next year. Furthermore, she hopes the participants who join this dissemination will be inspired and be more creative in teaching. (ER/CA)
